Challenge
The customer required a 38 mm cap slitting line to be manufactured and supplied for its production site in Russia.
Implementation
- To test our equipment’s ability to slit the product in line with the required parameters, the customer provided a drawing and cap samples.
- All supplied samples were processed on CSS equipment and returned to the customer for verification against final product requirements, including slit angle, number of bridges,
tear-off force, and other parameters. - The cap samples processed on CSS equipment were tested both in the customer’s laboratory and at a bottled water producer’s manufacturing site. After successful trials, the customer decided to purchase the line.
- We assembled the complete line at our manufacturing site in Shanghai and, in the customer’s presence, conducted a production test of 450,000 cap samples through feeding, sorting, inspection, slitting, and packaging stages.
- The finished line was installed and commissioned at the customer’s plant.
Result
- A 38 mm cap slitting line with an output of 48,000 finished parts per hour was delivered to the customer’s facility.
- The customer’s operators and technicians were trained for independent operation and maintenance of the line.
